Luscious and glutenfree - a contradiction in terms? Not necessarily so!Try Luscious Affairs - the Hawthorn East cafe/catering business has just started making gluten free cakes. These include their well known orange and wicked chocolate cakes, fruity hummingbird and lumberjack logs, and a gluten and dairy free nut, date and apricot loaf. Elizabeth Long, the owner, says Luscious Affairs will be looking to expand its glutenfree products, as well as dairy free and low fat foods, including soups and casseroles. There seems to be a growing demand from those with special dietary needs, and little appears to be available in the area. Most people remember the name anyway, but you will have good reason to remember it when you have sampled the food, for the name Luscious Affairs is synonymous with service and quality products including glutenfree! |
